Hi everybody!
Chuck Anderson here!
For those whose insignia interest tends towards the historical, I found something that may be of interest.
This concerns a force in the 1890's, known as the California State Naval Forces, (specifically the California Naval Militia and the Naval Battalion.)
This site gives you information on the rank insignia and uniforms, and there are photos as well.
To go to the site with the California Naval Militia, go to:............................

Hopefully you will find this interesting. See ya'!!

The State Militia of California includes the Army National Guard, Air National, State Military Reserve, California Naval Militia. The State Military Reserve is the State Defense Force of California; and they use standard army rank.
