US Army Cavalry Branch Insignia missing

Unread postby cavscout » Sun Sep 11, 2005 2:15 pm

I just found this site and I am impressed. I've been looking for a long time for something like this for several months. One thing I noticed though was that under the US Army branch insignia pages for both enlisted and officers the Cavalry branch insignia was missing. Even though the cavalry is considered part of the armor branch, 19D Cavalry Scouts still wear the crossed sabers on a gold disc on the left collar and Cav officers wear crossed sabers (sometimes with the Squadron (not Battalion in the Cav) below the crossing point and the Regiment above).
