At the climax, when the Bolivian Army arrives to help the police against the bandidos yanquis, the officers wear stripes on their shoulder straps instead of six-pointed stars. Is that a mistake? 'tis certainly painfully obvious that the George Roy Hill movie commits the mistake of depicting Bolivia as if it were identical to Mexico, a mistake that Spielberg commits with Peru in the current INDIANA JONES movie.
