Hi Everyone!

Presented here is my illustration of the rank/specialty insignia for an:
Ensign (O-1) USN Corps of Martial Arts Specialists

The USN Corps of Martial Arts Specialists is technically open to all ranks, (Officers, Warrant Officers and Enlisted).
After Boot Camp, (when personnel are promoted from the rank of Seaman Recruit (E-1) to the rank of Seaman Basic (E-1)), personnel can choose to enter the Martial Arts Specialist career field. When they do, they are allowed to wear their specialty insignia (which is part of their insignia of rank) throughout their training periods, and then of course, afterwards for the remainder of their enlistment, (as long as they remain in that career field.)

Many Martial Arts Specialists can serve as instructors, while others can serve with security forces (as members of security units/detachments) and take part in combat operations (as members of those combat units.)

You know, with all do respect this insignia has a moot point, since you said yourself:
"Any Martial Arts Specialists can serve as instructors, while others can serve with security forces (as members of security units/detachments) and take part in combat operations (as members of those combat units.) " So, if this correct, then according to you, let say the Martial Arts Specialist is member of SEAL training, then he would wear the SEAL insignia, no that one, or military academy instructor, then the school's insignias, the best would be just have like a chest badge or so, similar to shooters or paratroopers, or seals!

Actually, martial arts would be this ratings main specialty and other skills would be secondary to this specialty.
Personnel with the specific Martial Arts Specialist rating would be a useable asset in many separate units and situations, alongside those specialising in other specific career fields. The mission for all would be the same, the Martial Arts Specialist would just be an expert with his specific weapon.
The SEALS could have specifically trained Martial Arts Specialists.
Port Security could also have specifically trained Martial Arts Specialists.
