Here is the rank insignia for the Genesee County Sheriff's Department in Michigan which was created in 1835 and currently employs 142 sworn officers and 129 civilian staff. Rank insignia for Lieutenant through Sheriff is worn on the collars of the shirt and the shoulders of the jacket while rank insignia for Sergeant is worn on the collars of the shirt.
