Here is the rank insignia for the Ingham County Sheriff's Office in Michigan which was created in 1838 and currently employs 127 sworn officers and 87 civilian staff. Rank insignia for Lieutenant through Sheriff is worn on the collars of the shirt and the shoulders of the jacket while rank insignia for Sergeant is worn on both the sleeves and the collars.
