Greek rank insignia

Unread postby Zdzislaw Rudzki » Sun Dec 08, 2002 12:08 pm

Hi all
The pattern of Greek rank insignia remained basically the same since the beginning of the century. Of course in the meantime some new ranks were added. Tha main difference during the timeline was the symbol which appeares on the higher officer rank badges (where British have their crown). During the Greek Kingdom era there was a crown. After the "colonel's rebelion" there was a phoenix rising from flames. Today (republic) it is the grenade. I must check in the literature the exact dates.
Regards to all.
