See these two links; they lead to the RSI regulation for land Forces; 1.htm gives the text, 2.htm gives the illustrations. There is some detail on the rank structure, but not many images of ranks.

You can find illustrations of ranks in a book published by G. Rossignoli some years ago:

"R.S.I. Uniformi, distintivi, equipaggiamento e armi 1943-1945", Ermanno Albertelli Editore, Parma, 1989.

A still older book is :

Heinz Küchler, "Fregi, mostrine distintivi della RSI", Milan, Intergest, 1974.

Hope this can help.

It's quite a detailed and well illustrated work of over 170 pages on the Italian fascists covering male, female and children.
Unfortunately due to my limited grasp of Italian I'm unable to get the full benefit of the book.

A few pages from the book, I'm unable to scan the book and my photography needs to be improved!

Looks interesting, but my Italian is not better than yours. Generally I only by uniform books in English or German. /Luke

I couldn't resist when I saw it, frustration aside many of the plates can be translated into something that you can make sense of. Most books tend to stick to the military insignia and grades, here we have a book that takes a look at less publicised sections of the fascist organisation shown here.

Back when I decided to buy the book, I imagined a good dictionary would be all that would be required. I mean, how hard can it be to translate a dozen words, just ask Google!

On the second image the side list is the start of the illustrations descriptions. One to seven are on the third and fourth images. Again, they slightly differ from the short description that's on the actual pages.

These pages are some of the few that will scan without making the book do yoga. smilies-30
