Swiss Ordonance 1940

Unread postby Glenn » Fri Nov 27, 2015 1:51 pm

I was recently looking through the book "Uniform-Effekten 1939-1945" by Wolfgang Böhler and in particular at the Swiss Army. The illustrations, though very well executed have some issues, especially those of the senior officer ranks. Although captioned as 1940-1945, the Kepis shown for the Oberstkorpskommandeur (sic)and Oberstdivisionär are shown with pre 1940 leather chin straps. The insignia of the Oberstbrigadier is totally wrong. The Oberstbrigadier wore three horizontal stars as shown in the first attachment.
