Had a question from another forum about changes to the regulations re medals. shortest line of ribbons on top or below. The RN seems to to be different for officers and ratings and the RAN seems to have changed recently. Anybody have an idea? ( btw more variation of emoticons, forum is international!!)

Actually, I thought that in the British Armed Forces it was up to individual preference as to which row was longer.
