The official site of the Lebanese Army depicts your skier badge in the rubric "Académies et écoles".

http://www.lebarmy.gov.lb/French/Badges.asp?badges=2

So I would infer it is the Mountain School badge.

lebanese montain badges

Unread postby iffig » Thu May 17, 2007 10:33 pm

Well, on browsing a bit the lebanese army site, I discovered that your badge is identified as:

L’école de Ski et de Combat Alpin ("Ski and Alpine Warfare School").

As far as I know, the Alps are in Europe, and I think the title "l'Ecole de Ski et de Combat en Montagne" (Ski and Mountain Warfare School") would have been more appropriate. Well, let's take it as a tribute to French instructors of the Lebanese "Alpine" troops ....
