I don't know. This is the first representation of such rank insignia I have found. Downtown you normally see "buck privates" of the security firms; i.e. without any rank insignia at all.

But Securitas Svenska AB (a daughter Company of Securitas) and Avarn (a daughter Company of G4S) are both belonging to the world's largest security companies.

Furthermore, Securitas was founded in Sweden, and Avarna, used to be ABAB, a large government securit firm, Before being bought by G4S, so one might guess that both have very large market shares in Sweden.

My question is if the daughter companies of the same concern are using the same rank insignia globally? Are G4S using stripes in the UK and France, for instance?

It doesn't appear so, I think it might vary by country. If you look at this page from the US and open the image in a new tab:

https://usajobs.g4s.com/2014/08/18/secu ... year-2014/

you can see that the security officer identified as a "major" is clearly wearing US major-style collar pips and in this one:

https://media.glassdoor.com/l/aa/f3/e8/38/g4s-india.jpg

and indian guard appear to wear indian army style stars (I found other pictures of guards without stars so I assume this is not just decoration).

Then there's the fact that some country are pretty strict about security guards wearing anything that could make people confuse them with government employees so that they might not wear traditional insignias instead having their title simply written or simply who they work for such on this police support officer:

On a related note, although legislation is slightly different from one province to the next, it usually involve not wearing police style insignia or uniform elements that would get you mistaken for a member of a municipal/provincial or federal police force. When I worked in the industry there, the difference between ranks, when indicate was usually in the form of different ties or having the rank spelled out on the shoulder slides (i.e. "SUPERVISOR"). In that sense then, G4S Canada doesn't use police type badge or a blue uniform but I feel they might be going against the spirit of it:
