Here you have description of Latvian Customs Service ranks and insignia. But you all, folks promise DON'T LAUGH! Because, when I saw link given by Latvis, I got heart attack. Some clerks want to be a generals. Complete Soviet mindstyle heritage.
1.muitas kaprālis — corporal of Customs Service (CS), one yellow 10 mm lace vertically;
2.muitas seržants — sergeant CS, two yellow 10 mm laces wertically;
3. muitas virsseržantam — master sergeant CS, three yellow 10 mm laces vertically;
4. muitas virsnieka vietnieks — warrant officer CS, one diamond (yellow metal, i.e. copper);
5. muitas leitnants — Second Lieutenant CS, two diamonds (yellow metal, i.e. copper);
6. muitas virsleitnants — First Lieutenant CS, three diamonds (yellow metal, i.e. copper);
7. muitas kapteinis — Captain CS, four diamonds (yellow metal, i.e. copper);
8. muitas majors — Major CS, one octagon star (yellow metal, i.e. copper);
9. muitas pulkvežleitnants — Lieutenant Colonel CS, two octagon stars (yellow metal, i.e. copper);
10. muitas pulkvedis — Colonel CS, three octagon stars (yellow metal, i.e. copper);
11. muitas ģenerālis — General CS, Customs Coat Of Arms embodied in oakleaf wreath (yellow metal, i.e. copper);.
Color of rank insignia shoulder board is the same as dress uniform - emerald color. In official description emerald is taken for blue... Let it be.
